Neutral and Teal Glequins

Happy Monday, everyone! If you've been reading my blog for a while, you probably know that I am in love with glequins. You will also probably know that I'm not the best at applying them. There are some bloggers who manage to get a perfect honeycomb design with theirs, but I am still not one of them. That said, I hope you enjoy today's neutral nails with teal glequins!
I used two coats of OPI Berlin There Done That from the lovely Germany collection. This colour is a definite favourite of mine. I then used a dotting tool to apply teal glequins from Born Pretty Store.

Well, these definitely aren't some of my best nails due to the somewhat awkward glequin placement. Fortunately, the colour combination is lovely!

Thanks for reading!

Inspired by Dressed Up Nails

So, Whitney from Dressed Up Nails has really been making a splash in the Nail Art community lately with all the stellar manicures she's been posting. We're both in a polish-loving facebook group and every time she posts a new picture I can hardly stop my jealousy at her freehand talent! Today I decided to try to recreate a lovely Christmas wrapping paper-esque manicure she did which you can check out here. I decided to mix up the colour scheme a bit and went for teal and gold using OPI Ski Teal We Drop and Quo by ORLY Filthy Rich.
Now if you're wondering what happened to my pinky, I decided that I was probably better at freehanding than at using striping tape. Turns out I was wrong.

Here's a nicer look of the three nails that turned out nicely. I think I'll leave the elaborate tape manis to Whitney because this, although gorgeous, was not worth the time and effort!

A England St. George

Hello everyone! Things are getting back to normal around here after all the excitement from the giveaway, I wonder what milestone will merit the next one! Today I have an absolute gem of a polish to show you all - A England St. George. The new A England collection didn't really call my name too much, so instead I purchased a lemming from a previous collection and it was one of the best purchases ever.
Show in my photos is one coat of St. George, yes that's correct, only one coat! This polish applies like a dream. I only own one other A England polish, Lady of the Lake, but both of them have incredible application.

The holo was much more difficult to capture on camera than it was in real life unfortunately.

My boyfriend told me that he thinks this colour looks like car paint. He means it in a good way.

Well it's official, I can't get enough of this amazing polish. You can purchase them directly on the A England website, or you can buy your from Llarowe like I did!

Do you have any A England polishes? What are some other must-haves? I have my eye on Dragon and Princess Sabra next.

Day 30 - Inspired by a Tutorial

Hi guys! Almost done with the 31 Day Challenge! Today's theme was inspired by a tutorial, and after some recent nail mail I knew exactly what I was going to do! I love how Sammy at The Nailasaurus uses "glequins" in her manicures - glitter sequins. I knew I wanted to try a glequin nail as soon as I received mine in the mail from Born Pretty Store.
To create this look I used OPI Mermaid's Tears, gold glequins, and Sammy's tutorial which you can find here! I really needed to tessellate the glequins to get it to look like a honeycomb, but I didn't have the patience today.

Do you guys have glequins?! What's your favourite look to create with them?

Let's have a look at how the other ladies got inspired by their tutorials!
