A England St. George

Hello everyone! Things are getting back to normal around here after all the excitement from the giveaway, I wonder what milestone will merit the next one! Today I have an absolute gem of a polish to show you all - A England St. George. The new A England collection didn't really call my name too much, so instead I purchased a lemming from a previous collection and it was one of the best purchases ever.
Show in my photos is one coat of St. George, yes that's correct, only one coat! This polish applies like a dream. I only own one other A England polish, Lady of the Lake, but both of them have incredible application.

The holo was much more difficult to capture on camera than it was in real life unfortunately.

My boyfriend told me that he thinks this colour looks like car paint. He means it in a good way.

Well it's official, I can't get enough of this amazing polish. You can purchase them directly on the A England website, or you can buy your from Llarowe like I did!

Do you have any A England polishes? What are some other must-haves? I have my eye on Dragon and Princess Sabra next.

Day 21 - Inspired by a Colour

Good evening everyone! I am not too happy about today's post, really, what does this theme even mean? I went along the lines of "inspired by the name of a nail polish colour" and I chose OPI The Thrill of Brazil.
I used OPI The Thrill of Brazil on only one nail - to do the sunset gradient on my ring finger. So, my pinky finger is supposed to be inspired by Carnaval. My ring finger is supposed to be a sunset (or sunrise) behind the Cristo Redentor statue that towers above Rio de Janeiro. My middle finger is the back of Thiago Silva's jersey, he is the captain of the Brazilian national soccer team, and finally on my index finger there is an incomplete Brazilian flag.
Yeah, I'm not thrilled with this. :( The colours I used were OPI The Thrill of Brazil, OPI No Spain No Gain, OPI Do You Lilac It?, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, China Glaze Happy Go Lucky, China Glaze Four Leaf Clover, Barry M Cobalt Blue, and A England Lady of the Lake.

I can't wait for tomorrow's challenge, I've been thinking of this one for quite some time now!

Day 06 - Violet

Good morning! I hope everyone in Canada is having a great long weekend! Because I liked yesterday's blue manicure so much I decided to do another manicure using a bunch of shades from the designated colour family, and a tape manicure is what I came up with.
The shades of purple (err - violet) that I used were Zoya Megan, OPI Do You Lilac It?, A England Lady of the Lake, and OPI Funky Dunkey. I used a small striper brush and China Glaze Liquid Leather to outline my squiggly tape lines.

I actually added the black lines impromptu, this is how I had envisioned the manicure to look like. Which way do you prefer?

A England Lady of the Lake is such a gorgeous purple scattered holo. Do you own any A Englands? They have the best formula!

Are you guys enjoying seeing this sudden surge of nail art? I'm really having fun doing this challenge! It would mean a lot to me if you could pay a quick visit to the posts of the other ladies that I'm taking this challenge on with.

Splatter Mani

Hey everyone!
I'm so sorry for my absence recently - but as I'm sure many of you know it's getting close to final exams and my nails are the last thing on my mind. I've been meaning to try out the splatter mani technique for a while, and I fell in love with this one that Sarah from Chalkboard Nails did as a guest post on Fashion Polish - I'm sure you all know of these two blogs but if you don't they are ones to add to your list!
For this look I started with two coats of OPI Skull & Glossbones. I then used a straw and began splattering using China Glaze Liquid Leather, OPI Alpine Snow, Revlon Metallic, Quo by ORLY Filthy Rich, and for the first time ever A England Lady of the Lake!
Keep reading for some more photos!
