OPI Holland Part 1 - Swatches and Review

Hello everyone! I was lucky enough to receive 6 of the polishes from OPI's new Holland collection that hit shelves yesterday. Today I'm going to show you I Don't Give a Rotterdam, Gouda Gouda Two Shoes, and Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh? I am in love with this entire collection so far, this post is going to be extremely picture heavy so get ready!
The first shade I wore from this half of the collection is a surprise favourite, which is I Don't Give a Rotterdam! I think this is one of my favourite names of the collection, and the polish is absolutely gorgeous too. A greyed out blue, almost periwinkle base with silver fleck glitter that isn't too obnoxious yet still eye-catching.

Flash

Although it looks like there are black flecks in the polish, they don't seem to show up on the nail. I wonder if it's just the reflection off the glitter.

The sunlight pictures I have aren't quite colour-accurate. My camera wanted to wash this colour out, imagine it just as pigmented and saturated as it is in the flash photos.

Not your average shimmer - these are actually like micro-flakes. So pretty!

I love this polish and I never would have thought to pick it up myself. It's very flattering and it was simple to remove. The next polish I have swatches of is Gouda Gouda Two Shoes. Okay, I get it, Gouda is a city and also a cheese but when I think of this colour I just imagine what shape the cheese would have to be in to turn this rose-brown colour and it's just, well, I don't much care for the name. The polish on the other hand is a beautiful browned rose that looks old-lady at first glance but has a secret gold shimmer that makes it stand out. This colour is not something I ever would have chosen for myself but it's extremely flattering and it's appropriate for work while being fun and interesting at the same time.

Macro!

I am a sucker for subtle shimmer.

Did I mention the gold shimmer? Here it is!

Inside with the flash brings out the pink undertones in this polish.
I originally got full coverage with two coats of this polish except on one nail, so I went back and put on a third coat, and my camera still picks up VNL. Rest assured that is not noticeable in real life, but the beautiful gold shimmer sure is! While on first glance this colour isn't really my usual "thing" I think it's quite fancy and it's an interesting addition to this spring collection. I wonder how I can incorporate it into some nail art..

The last polish from this part of the review is also the one I was most anticipating, Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh? This polish did NOT disappoint - but my photos might. I frantically had to take advantage of the last bit of sun while photographing this so the sunlight photos aren't the greatest, but after wearing this for only one day I got two compliments. I'm a sucker for putty-type nudes and this is beautiful. The formula was a dream, it was almost opaque in one coat and I used two for a flawless finish. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
Once again, contrary to what my photos lead to believe there is no VNL! What is up with my camera?

Shade

In some lights this looks like a sandy nude and in others there's an obvious hint of green. I'm sure this one varies depending on your skin tone, and I love it on mine. In the bottle it looks really similar to OPI Skull & Glossbones (one of my favourites of all time) so I hope to have a comparison up sometime this week.

Wow! What do you think of these colours? I think OPI has hit it out of the park with this collection and I can't wait to post my swatches and review of the next three polishes. Which are your favourites? Have you seen the Holland polishes around?
