Good morning everyone! Today's theme is yellow, and as you probably know, yellow nail polishes are notoriously difficult to work with. I'm not sure why, but every yellow creme I've ever put on my nails has been a streaky mess, and China Glaze Happy Go Lucky is no different. I got sick of the thick consistency and opted to only do two coats of polish. I did a freehand zebra accent nail using OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and LA Colors Art Deco striper polish to do all the black in the manicure.
I was surprised with how much I liked this mani! These colours look really nice together in my opinion, I guess black and white go with pretty much any colour though, eh?
Unfortunately it's the second day of gloomy weather here and I was unable to snap a photo in the sun. Good news is that the forecast for the next week is great!
Just posting the guide to the challenge so all my readers can follow along!
As I've mentioned before, I'm undertaking this challenge along with quite a few other talented ladies. It's so much fun to see all our different takes on the same theme, so go pay their blogs a visit!
I just love! So unique! I hear ya on the streakiness of yellow cremes! I have a beautiful Sinful Colors yellow that even with three coats you get the lines :-(
ReplyDeleteThey're awful, I would love to find a buttercup yellow creme with a nice formula, that is my dream!
DeleteI like this! I have a few yellow nail polishes but I just can't wear them on their own without some nail art... I agree that yellows are usually streaky! I only have one mustard nail polish (miss marmalade?) from Topshop that has awesome formula.
ReplyDeleteI don't own very many mustard colours, but I wonder why they seem to have a better formula!
DeleteLove this! Beautiful mani! I dislike yellow polish so much I want to throw mine against the wall right now :D
