OPI New York City Ballet - Comparisons

Hi everybody! (I feel like Dr. Nick when I say that). I've noticed that quite a few people in the nail community are saying that a lot of the shades from OPI's NYC Ballet collection look the same on the nail, and so I've done some swatches of the four shades side by side.
This picture is from my original swatches, it shows each colour photographed in the shade.
Keep reading to see the comparisons!
The photos are going to be showing you You Callin' Me a Lyre? on my index finger, Barre My Soul on the middle finger, Don't Touch My Tutu! on my ring finger, and My Pointe Exactly on the pinky!

This is one coat of each shade in the sunlight..not much to see!

Two coats of each colour photographed in the shade - you can tell the grey, My Pointe Exactly, apart from the rest easily.

Two coats of each colour in the sunlight.

Three coats of each colour in the shade.

Three coats of each colour in the sunlight.

Four coats of each colour in the shade - you can see the difference between the pink and the beige one as you build them up.

Four coats of each shade in the sunshine!

Once again, four coats of each in the shade.

Four coats of each topped off with one coat of the amazing glitter Pirouette My Whistle.

I love Pirouette My Whistle so much, it's really subtle but girly, perfect for a ballet collection.

My favourite of the collection is the pink one - You Callin' Me a Lyre? It's so sweet and feminine and I can't get over the way it looks under Pirouette My Whistle.

Does this clear anything up for you guys, a little more sure which ones you like and which ones you'll be passing on? No matter what, I strongly recommend the glitter topcoat it is absolutely gorgeous.

These products were kindly sent to me for review.

  1. Pirouette My Whistle is great. I was looking forward to My Pointe Exactly (a gray "jelly"?!?!! Kinda unique!) but I passed and only got the glitter.
