Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice!

Hello and happy Saturday! I think after a week of trying to get the perfect manicure to submit to Rebecca Likes Nails' contest, I finally have one I'm willing to submit! If you've been reading my posts for the past week you're probably sick of hearing this, but as a recap the theme is "gradients, animal prints, bows, dots, and Hello Kitty." My friend Anisha, who helped me with the logistics of how to combine so many themes into one manicure, and I have been coming up with tons of ideas to find the perfect submission for the contest. If you're visiting my page for the first time it'd be great if you could check out my other potential submissions: here, here, and here.
I'm so pleased with how this mani turned out! Keep reading for more photos and to see the colours I used to create this look.

I started with a base of Illamasqua Load. Such a beautiful polish, such a funny name, such a bad formula. I think I may have a bad bottle because I often hear people raving over the formula of this, but mine is a sheer and streaky mess. For the dots gradient I used OPI Alpine Snow, Revlon Lily, OPI Do You Lilac It?, and OPI Funky Dunkey. The bow is Revlon Lily outlined in Funky Dunkey.

Who knew purple and yellow looked so nice together? Perfect combination for spring!

You can barely see the white dots in the gradient!

I wasn't planning on adding anything else to this mani, but I remembered this stamping plate that I got for free a while back and it has Hello Kitty on it - perfect for this contest!

I tried stamping with OPI Funky Dunkey but it just wasn't made to be a stamping polish I guess because I had terrible results, good thing I was trying on paper and not messing up my hand. I ended up being able to stamp with Revlon Lily, and though it's a little lighter than I would have liked it's cute all the same!

What do you guys think, is this the mani I should submit? I've covered four out of five themes, I think that's pretty good! Did you guys submit an entry to Rebecca's contest?
xoxo Nikki
