Waves of Dots

Hey guys! Today I have a third potential submission to the nail art contest that Rebecca Likes Nails is hosting. This is another design that my friend Anisha came up with, but she has since informed my that I didn't quite execute it properly. I tried to do a polka dot gradient but instead of straight lines think like a sine wave.
While this looks pretty cool it's not quite what I had in mind, story of my nail-art-life recently!
Keep reading for more photos!

I used OPI Steady as She Rose for the base for this mani, then OPI Alpine Snow, OPI Pink Friday, OPI Kiss Me on my Tulips, OPI Red Lights Ahead...Where?, and OPI The Thrill of Brazil. Wow - can you tell what my favourite brand is?

I really like this look up until it starts to turn red, I think I would've preferred it if it were just a pink to white gradient. The dark red reminds me of dried blood and it's not that becoming on the tips of my fingernails.

So this is my thumbnail which broke this week. I really like the flower idea in the corner but that Hello Kitty is just so sad looking, what happened with the whiskers! I think I like the Hello Kitties from my previous two designs more than this one.

You can kind of see how the dots were supposed to align in this photo.

What do you guys think of this manicure? Have you entered Rebecca's contest yet? Do you have a favourite of my three potential entries?

xoxo Nikki
