Splatter Mani

Hey everyone!
I'm so sorry for my absence recently - but as I'm sure many of you know it's getting close to final exams and my nails are the last thing on my mind. I've been meaning to try out the splatter mani technique for a while, and I fell in love with this one that Sarah from Chalkboard Nails did as a guest post on Fashion Polish - I'm sure you all know of these two blogs but if you don't they are ones to add to your list!
For this look I started with two coats of OPI Skull & Glossbones. I then used a straw and began splattering using China Glaze Liquid Leather, OPI Alpine Snow, Revlon Metallic, Quo by ORLY Filthy Rich, and for the first time ever A England Lady of the Lake!
Keep reading for some more photos!

Here we are pre-cleanup, kind of scary isn't it?

Doesn't the splatter look so cool close up? Look at the black on my index finger!

What do you guys think of this technique - have you tried it? I'm not sure if it's one I'll do often, but this turned out really pretty I think, it reminds me of those purple bags that Crown Royal have!
Do you have any good ideas for a colour combination that would make an awesome splatter mani?
